Activities

Since inception, South Kolkata Manasi, with it's limited resources, has so far carried out the following activities for down-trodden people :-

Provided financial assistance to needy,meritorious students.

Provided financial help to the aged helpless poor people.

Stood beside and helped the physically challenged people.

Provided treatment and medicines to the needy,ailing people.

Provided technical knowledge to the backward so that they can earn a living.

Helped poor people financially to marry their daughters off.

Helped the victims of Natural Calamities.

Planted trees to provide a greener enviroment to the future generations.

Helped Thalasemia patients.

Conducted free eye medical camp for poor people in a remote village with the help of Eye Specialist of Sambhunath Pandit hospital.

Served Driking Water to all visitors and passer during Rath Yatra Festival,by joint gesture of Manasi & "Garia Sarba Babosaye Samity".

Distributed fruits and sweets to all patients of "Mother Teresa Memorial T.B Hospital(Boral)'.

Four wheel chairs were provided to physically challenged,poor & needy people during Sri Sri Shyama Puja by joint gesture of Manasi and "Sabuji Sathi".

Education Aid

SOUTH KOLKATA MANASI began its journey by providing school bags, uniforms, khatas, pens, pencils and books to 26 meritorious students of local S.B.Girls’ High School during the month of April,2008 and the same is increasing day by day appears from the up to date year wise statements given below:

On March 2009 : 36 students of local schools in office premises.

On March 2010 : 65 students of local schools at our office premises.

On 23rd January, 2011 : 52 students of local schools at our office premises.

On February 2011: 117 students of 14 schools of Sonarpur and Rajpur area.

On 14th January, 2012 : 72 students of local schools at our office.

On 28th January, 2012 : 58 students from Kalikapur area at Ram Kamal school.

On 23rd January, 2013 : 179 students of local school at our office premises.

On 16th February, 2013 : 89 students from Kalikapur area at Ram Kamal school.

On 12th January 2014: 80 students of Kalikapur area at Ram Kamal school.

On 23rd January, 2014 : 237 students of local schools at our office.

On 25thJanuary, 2014 : 40 students of Sahaj Path Prathamik Vidyalaya at Bolpur.

On 10th July, 2014 : 15 students of the locality on the foundation day at our office premises.

On 22.06.2016 : Help for admission in B.A. to Ms. Amrita Saha, Satindra Pally, Garia a sum of Rs.3000/- in Jogomaya Devi College.

On self same day also provided books to Master. Subham Paul resident of Dum Dum student of senior secondary and entrance examination books for securing 14th position at secondary board examination.

On 10th July, 2016: 15 students of the locality on the foundation day at our office premises.

FROM THE YEAR 2017 WE WERE PROVIDING SAMSAD DICTIONERIES (ENGLISH TO BENGALI, BENGALI TO ENGLISH AND AVIDHAN TO THE STUDENTS RANGING FROM CLASS IX TO XI.

On 12nd January, 2017 : 258 students of Pratapnagar and Kalikapur area at our own proposed project land at Garal mouja, Pratapnagar.

On 23rd January, 2017 : 234 students of local schools at our office premises.

Above all in these two camps we have provided 162 dictionaries.

On 10th July, 2017: 15 students of the locality on the foundation day at our office premises.

On 24.11.2017 : 300 khatas amongst the orphan of Ananda.

In all those functions Respected Dulal Maharaj, Kalyan Maharaj of Ramkrishna Mission Seva Pratistan, Chairman of Rajpur Sonarpur Municipality, Pradhan of both Kalikapur & Pratapnagar Gram Panchayet, Sri Chayan Bhattacherjee, Councilor, K.M.C. Ward No. 111 and eminent Educationist namely Gouri Shankar Maity.

On 13.03.2018 : Providing all books of class VIII & IX to very poor meritorious students namely Ramit Modak, Trishta Ghosh and Suprity Maity.

On 06.05.2018 : Providing a sum of Rs. 5000/- and also arranged scholarship of Rs. 15,000/- through RIHD for undergoing Montesori Training by our needy member Smt. Susmita Mondal.

On 18.5.2018 : Educational assistance by providing bag, khata, books etc to 44 students of home namely Paramananda Sishu Kalyan Kendra at Ananda Ashram, Naktala, Kolkata-47.

We also provide wheel chairs and educational assistance to the specially challenged child :

During the year 2009 and 2010 : 7 wheel chairs and 2 crutches were provided in our office and also in the local club premises SABUJ SHATI.

On 09.04.2013 : encouraged 50 students by way of gifts in a cultural program organized by Tulir Tane,

On 29.01.2014 : Monitory help to Bandish Music Foundation who rendered music to the child.

On 23.01.2015 : On 07.02.2015 : 15 students have been provided educational assistance in an cultural function organized by Uttoran at Jadavpur University “Triguna Sen Auditorium”.

On 11.11.15 : 10 students have been provided with educational materials in the Shyama Puja organized by Atabagan, Garia.

28.10.2016 : On the eve of Shyama puja at Ata Bagan,Garia, provided Rice,Dal, Biscuit, Choklets etc for 25 students.

On 25.01.2017 : 21 students of S.B.Girls High School by providing drawing and educational items.

On 24.08.2017 : 25 Students have been provided with educational assistance in an cultural function organized by Uttoran at Jadavpur University “Triguna Sen Auditorium”.

On 19.10.17 : 29 participants of Mentally Retarded have been provided with dry food.

Medical Aid

MEDICAL CAMP AND ASSISTANCE.

February, 2009 ; Dosha, Gocharan, P.S. Canning, 24 Pgs 137 patients were examined & cataract operation availed by 31 patients and rest were treated with medicine.

January, 2010 ; “Sashanpara, Mathurapur, Raidighi 121 patients were examined in a General Medical Check up Camp and properly advised and treated.

April, 2010 : Palash Hat, District Hooghly, in an Eye Check up Camp 138 patients were examined out of whom 21 availed of Cataract Operation.

May, 2010: Mourigram, Howrah “Eye Check Up Camp” 118 patients were examined out of whom 14 patients availed of Cataract Operation.

18th December, 2011 : General Health check-up Camp at Office Premises and 122 patients were examined.

25.12.2011 : Sashanpara, Mathurapur, Raidighi. In General Health Check-up Camp 167 patients were examined.

29.01.2012 : Sashanpara, Mathurapur, Raidighi. In General Health Check-up Camp 57 patients were examined.

11.02.2012 : in the office premises “Free Eye Check Up” Camp – 83 patients were examined out of whom 15 patients availed of Cataract Operation.

25.12.2012 : At Bidhan Diagnostic & Poly Clinic, Kalikapur, Sonarpur in Eye Check up Camp 39 patients were examined and 9 patients availed Cataract Operation.

From the month of March, 2012 at our office has arranged an extensive Homeopathy Medical Service four days in a week at the cost of Rs. 10/- only for consultation and medicine.

During the above noted period Manasi has extended its best possible help to 3 helpless Thalasemia & 4 kidney patients by providing some life saving drugs and financial assistance.

01.04.2013 : Started monthly help of Rs. 1000/- to Sri Keshab Mukherjee, who has none to look after for treatment of his ailment continued for one year.

01.05.2013 : One time cash donation of Rs. 5000/- to 7 years old kidney patient namely Arpita Das.

9.09.2013 : General Health check-up Camp at Office Premises and 83 patients were examined.

15.09.2013: Sashanpara, Mathurapur, Raidighi. In Eye Check-up Camp 121 patients were examined and necessary medicine provided out of whom 24 availed of cataract operation.

On the above date and place and General Health Check-up Camp held where 214 patients have been examined and treated.

24.11.2013 : At Village Dhosa, P.S.Canning, in an Eye Check Up Camp 350 patients were treated by medicine and cataract operation and spectacle.

02.11.2014 : At village Badkul, Canning, in the Eye Check Up Camp 81 patients were examined out of whom24 availed of Cataract Operation

In General Health Check-up Camp 214 persons availed of necessary examination and advise.

23.11.2014 : In Kalikapur,Sonarpur 116 patients were examined in Eye Camp – 3 had been advised for Cataract Operation.

In General Health Check-up Camp 141 persons availed of necessary examination and advise.

16-06-2016: Help a sum of Rs. 5000/- to Sri Subhas Adhikary, Bhagajatin, for Kidney Treatment.

17.11.2016 : Help a sum of Rs. 15,000/- to Sri Gourav Saha of Laskarpur for treatment of critical rectum operation of his minor child.

26.5.2017 : Help a sum of Rs. 3,000/- to Sm.Sumita Mondal, Sundarban Area for heart treatment.

10.07.2017 : Help a sum of Rs. 4,400/- to Goutam Makal, Ghatal, for Kidney treatment.

19,05.2018 : During Medical Camp at Dakshin Sangur Karunamoyee Girls High School Dr. Arpita Majumdar & team medically checked up 50 students.

SOCIAL WELFARE

Copy from Financial help : From the year 2010 Manasi and Garia Sarba Byabosaye Samity catered and continued extensive service of distribution drinking water and Prasad to all visitors and passersby during both Ratha Yatras at Baisnabghata Ratha Tala,

From the year 2010 on the day of Independence 15th August Manasi has started distribution of Fruits and Dry Foods amongst 144 patients admitted in formerly known as T.B.Hospita and presently Mother Tarrasa Memorial T.B. Hospital, Boral and in the last year i.e. 15.08.2017 we able to provide clothing to all male and female patients along with Dry Foods.

During Durga puja 2011 distributed cloths to poor people at Green Park, Durga puja Pandel.

During Shyama puja 2011 distributed 96 blankets poor people at Balak Sangha, Mullickpur, Baruipur.

2008 & 2009 : Extensive tree plantation programme conducted at Bakkhali to create greener environment for the future generation.

On 15.09.2013 :Manasi also provided two T.V.Sets in the Hospital with active co-operation of its well wisher Sri Ajit Das.

11.03.2014 : A sum of Rs. 26,200/- donated to Smt kamala Dalapati of Garia- Birji to meet marriage expenditure of her daughter.

11.05.2015 : A sum of Rs, 3000/- donated to Sri Falguni Naire.

11.11.2015 : On the eve of Kalipuja at local Ata Bagan, Manasi provided Sari and Blankets amongst 55 needy persons.

30.09.2016 : Massive Tree Plantation programme conducted at Garal under Kalikapur and Pratapnagar Panchyat in presence of local M.L.A.s Sri Jiban Mukhopadhyay and Smt. Fhirdoshi Begum.

12.11.2016 : Provided two bunny bags of rice to Sri Arpan Chowdhury of Ranikuti, who reared up 11 needy students with educational assistance.

21.11.2016 : Provided monitory help and took all responsibility to overcome the burdening of a marriageable daughter of Smt. Pranati Singha, Sandeshkhali namely Sarala Singha and spent a sum of Rs. 38,700/-.

23.04.2017 : On the occasion of Gana Bibaha ( 20 couples) organized by Shivam Society, Manasi provided 20 pcs of Kanjibaram and 24 pcs of bed sheet.

10.07.2017 : On the foundation day we have provided 10 sari 6 lungi, 11 blankets to the needy persons.

10.11.2017 : Provided 25 kgs. of rice, Masur dal, Sugar, Biscuits, Fruits etc to Sri Arpan Chowdhury of Ranikuti, who reared up 11 needy poor students keeping them in his home.

24.11.2017 : Distributed 125 Mosquito amongst the poor families of the surrounding area in order to prevent Dengue Virus.

24.11.2017 : Donate 43 blankets to 43 orphans residing at Home namely along with Biscuit packet.

IN THE MONTH OF DECEMBER, 2017 WE TOOK A NEW PROJECT NAMELY

31.12.2017 : In our office 150 persons collected cloths & winter apparels.

On 19.05.2018 : An awareness camp on two head (1) for class V to VIII (POCSO) protection of child from sexually assault and (2) from class IX onward students on Sanitation , Gynecology and future teaching destination by Smt. Indrani Mukherjee, (Social Worker) Smt. Supurna Chatterjee (Teacher), Dr. Arpita Majumdar, Smt. Mousumi Das (Office Asst) and Secy Sukumar Majumdar attended the camp from 11 P.m. to 3 P.M.

We have collected excess usable old articles mainly all types of cloths & winter dresses from our well wishers and distributed the same amongst the needy poorer section of the remote villages and we are very much grateful to our well wishers, under whose inspiration as well as our massive drive we have already meet two such camps and received a heartiest welcome :
